The white longfin albacore tuna (Alalunga) is lovingly known in Greece as the little tuna of Alonissos. Being one of the smallest species of tuna, it is very tasty as well as very healthy. From the sea straight to the jar, the Alelma white tuna is viewed as a prized product. It is recognizes all over the world for its taste and texture and is used by chefs in several highly appreciated dishes. It will bring an extra something to salads and even plain it makes for a delicious appetizer. Keep in mind that it is the only tuna worldwidely free of heavy metals and mercury, which makes it ideal for consuming by pregnants and children.

The Alelma seafood flavours workshop was founded in 2007 in Alonissos by Yiorgos Anagnostou, who brought in his long experience in fish trading, and Amalia Kalogianni, who contributed her knowledge of Alonissos tradition in tuna processing.


The tuna processing workshop area is fully equipped using the latest technology in seafood processing hygiene.


In our workshop we follow the traditional recipe preparing the tuna in water or oil under the strictest modern standards and certifications without the use of preservatives or flavour enhancers.
